Batesville 5, South Dearborn 1

South Ripley 2, Switzerland County 1 – Cory Ralston and Alvaro Sais were South Ripley’s goal scorers. Zach Gentile made an assist. Ralston also made 5 saves as goalkeeper.

Oldenburg Academy 7, Hauser 1 - Gariott Scott scored four times for 1A #1 Oldenburg. Matthew Hoog had a goal and an assist. Lucas McFee and Adam Huber each added a goal. Sam Mahoney, Chris Moorman and Blake Borgman each added an assist. Twisters goalkeeper Chris Hautman made two saves.

CROSS COUNTRY

Franklin County’s boys and girls teams both ran to victory at a tri-meet at Oldenburg Academy on Tuesday. The FC girls were first, helped by Kairee Hodapp’s second place performance. For the boys, FC was first. Tanner Lainhart was the best Wildcat.

 

GIRLS GOLF

East Central won a tri-meet at Milan on Tuesday. EC’s team score was 214, followed by Lawrenceburg with 232 and Milan with 253.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Fairfield (Ohio) 6, East Central 2 – Jenna Ohmer and McKenzie Brown each scored for EC, with both goals assisted by Lauren deLong.

Batesville 2, South Dearborn 1 – Batesville’s goals were netted by Georgia Gratz and Ellie Cassidy. Ashlyn Czerniak made an assist. Bulldog keeper Ellie Waechter made five saves.

Franklin County 1, Union County 0 – Grace Noble’s goal off a Shelby Pearson goalie assist got the win for Franklin County. Pearson also recorded 9 saves to keep Union County at nill, her first shutout of the season.

VOLLEYBALL

Lawrenceburg 3, Batesville 1 – 25-16, 27-25, 21-25, 25-8 – Batesville’s Hattie Westerfeld led her team with 13 kills, 4 digs and 2 blocks. Kylie Laker had 28 assists, 12 digs, 3 aces and a block.

South Decatur 3, South Dearborn 1 – 25-19, 22-25, 25-9, 25-18 – South Dearborn’s Jaelyn Lows had 5 kills, 2 blocks, 2 aces and 5 assists. Freshman Emily Elliott had 5 kills and 2 blocks. Hannah Halbig had 8 assists and 7 digs.

Rising Sun 3, Shawe Memorial 0 – 25-16, 25-13, 25-12 – Rising Sun’s Danyka Groover went off with 17 kills and 4 blocks. Sydney Bostic added 25 assists, 2 digs, and an ace. Grace Bujack served 5 aces.

North Decatur 3, Jac-Cen-Del 0 – 25-7, 25-10, 25-14
