Tri-Meet at East Central

Girls: East Central 69, Franklin Community 61, Shelbyville 31
Boys: East Central 69, Franklin Community 56, Shelbyville 40

  • Trevor Perkins, Cole Jankovsky, Carson Ibold & Cameron Williams won the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:30.54
  • Carson Ibold, Trevor Perkins, Mitchell Karaus & Liam Cox for won 4x100m with a time of 43.07 which is just 0.05 seconds off our school record! This is the 3rd fastest time in ECHS history
  • Trevor Perkins won the 110m & 300m hurdles with a 14.17 & 40.01
  • Leah Toney, Lauryn Huber, Natalie Stenger & Gabrielle Karle won the 4x400m relay
  • Callie Bentley won the 3200m
  • Leah Toney, Gabby Cleary, Natalie Stenger & Gabrielle Karle won the 4x800m relay

 

Raver Relays

Batesville High School Track and Field Team hosted its 3rd annual Raver Relays Saturday. The Batesville girls team was victorious as the boys were runner up.  Batesville girls won with a score of 116 points followed closely by Jennings County with 91 points. Decatur Central came in 3rd at 62, then Franklin County-42, Rushville-24, Oldenburg Academy-16 and Tinsley with 7.  The Decatur Central boys were crowned the victors with 108 points and Batesville closely behind with 93 points. Jennings County came in 3rd with 67 points, then Rushville-53, Franklin County-42, Oldenburg Academy 16 and Tinsley-4. 

Batesville's 4 x 800m relay team of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, Levi Essick and Griffin Koester posted a time of 8:28.79, breaking the old record by 9 seconds. Also the boys 4 x 400m relay team of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, Griffin Koester and James Rowland just beat the old record by .05 seconds with a time of 3:31.77. The girls broke 3 records.  The first was the 4 x 800m relay by almost 14 seconds with a time of 10:11.75 and consisted of Bayleigh Demaree, Jayla Bedel, Caitlin Raver and Ava Wade.  Then these same girls broke the Distance Medley Relay record by over 30 seconds running 13:14.56 and finally the girls 4 x 400m relay team of Bayleigh Demaree, Maycee Holtkamp, Ava Wade and Abby Miller broke the old record by almost 6 seconds running 4:19.12

Batesville had 9 individual events receive first place medals and 16 personal records.  

Medal winners besides the new record holders listed above were:

  • Isabel Meyer-pole vault (8'6")
  • Ella King-shot put (39'7.5")
  • Leah Meyer-discus (98'7")
  • The boys Distance Medley Relay team of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, Levi Essick and Griffin Koester

Batesville (326) finished 12th out of 23 teams at theYorktown Invitational at TPC Woodland Trails in Yorktown, IN.
