(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - River Harrison is heading north to play college soccer.
The Lawrenceburg High School senior recently signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing, Michigan.
Harrison is a four-year varsity letter winner for Coach Dewayne Uhlman, was a senior captain and played a big role in the Tigers' sectional championship win last fall.
As a senior, Harrison was named to the EIAC All-Conference Team and was Lawrenceburg's Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year.
Coach Bayn of Great Lakes Christian College, says this about River - “ River is a versatile player who can play anywhere in defense or midfield. “
River says “ I’d like to thank my family and coaches for this opportunity. I am very excited about playing for GLCC and grateful for this opportunity”.
He plans to study Sports Management and to someday work as an Athletic Director and Coach.
