Lawrenceburg Girls Basketball's "Hooping for Hope" Fundraiser Expanding This Season

The fundraiser will now be a two-day event with the Tigers hosting Rushville in girls and boys basketball.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Lawrenceburg Tigers girls basketball program will again host their annual Hooping for Hope game to support Indiana Women in Need (I.W.I.N).

This year, the event will be expanded to make it a two-day event to include the boys basketball program.

The boys team will host Rushville on Friday, December 20 starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Lady Tigers hosting Rushville on Saturday, December 21 beginning at noon.

Each game will include a ceremony honoring individuals who have battled cancer, Youth Night, a variety of raffles, and game specific t-shirt sales with community partner OVS.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated by the LHS Athletic Department, in addition to other corporate donations.

Over the past three years, the Lady Tigers have raised over $8,000 for I.W.I.N. The Lawrenceburg Athletic Department thanks the Rising Sun, Rushville, and Columbus North communities for helping reach that total.
