Kyle Krummen carried the banner for southeastern Indiana at the wrestling state finals.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – East Central wrestler Kyle Krummen’s run to a state title came to an end just a few rounds short.
Krummen, a junior, was the lone wrestler from southeastern Indiana participating in the 2019 IHSAA Wrestling State Finals this past weekend.
Competing at 195 lbs., Krummen dropped his opening round match Friday evening. He was pinned by New Castle’s Will Nunn (43-2) at 3:43.
He ends his junior season with a 27-11 record and an IHSAA sectional championship.
Indianapolis Cathedral was the team champion at the state finals with two state champs. Hunter Watts of Jimtown was the Ward E. Brown Mental Attitude Award.
