JCD, OA Boys Soccer Ranked In Preseason Poll

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Expectations will be high in Osgood and Oldenburg this season. 

The Indiana Soccer Coaches Association announced Monday its Preseason High School Boys Soccer Polls.

Jac-Cen-Del and Oldenburg Academy made the Top 20 in Class 1A with the Eagles ranked #4 followed by Oldenburg Academy at #15.

Last season, Jac-Cen-Del went 16-4-1 on their way to winning the ORVC and a sectional championship. The Eagles would advance to the Final 8, where they lost to eventual state champion Providence by a score of 3-2.

Jac-Cen-Del was led by Jacob Jines a season ago. As a senior, Jines scored 31 goals and added 21 assists. Fellow senior Jordan Meyer added 14 goals and nine assists.

Their top returning goal scorers are Yuki Casado (14) and Ryan Wilson (8). The Eagles also return their top goalkeeper in senior Nathan Hoffman.

As for Oldenburg Academy, the Twisters went 10-7-2 in 2020. Their season ended in the sectional championship with a 2-0 loss to Southwestern (Shelbyville).
