(Osgood, Ind.) - Scott Smith is taking on a new challenge at Jac-Cen-Del High School.
The Jac-Cen-Del School Board has approved the hiring of Scott Smith as boys varsity basketball head coach. He replaces Clint Bohman, who recently resigned after five seasons.
Bohman led the Eagles to a 72-56 record over the past five seasons, including sectional and regional championships in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Smith is no stranger to JCD as he led the Lady Eagles basketball program for 23 seasons. In that time, Smith led JCD to a record of 423-151 with 18 sectional titles, six regional championships, and one state championship in 2016.
He stepped down as the girls varsity basketball coach following the 2023-24 season leaving way for former standout Lilly Simon to take over the girls' program.
