Highpoint Health Hospice Hosts Successful Golf Tourney

The Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises team won the tournament at Dearborn Country Club.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Highpoint Health’s 2018 Hospice Golf Outing raised more than $29,000 for use by the organization for its Hospice program and related services.

The annual golf outing took place at the Dearborn Country Club with 81 players, comprising 20 teams.  Taking first place was the Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises team with the CalComm Indiana, LLC, team earning second place.  Fifth Third Bank had two teams that tied for third place.

Other winners were: Closest to the Pin on Hole 3, Tom Palmer; and Longest Drive on Hole 9, Charles Hill.

The main sponsor of the tournament was Fifth Third Bank.  Other sponsors included:  Awards and Trophies, CalComm Indiana, LLC; Closest to the Pin, Cardinal Office Products; Front 9, Dearborn Savings Bank; Golf Carts, United Community Bank Charitable Foundation; and Hole Sponsors: Banta Electrical Contractors, Cardinal Office Products, Champlin Architecture, Community Mental Health Center, DeVille Pharmacies, Evolution creative solutions, Friendship State Bank, Haag Ford, Home Furniture, Impact Sports, IVY Tech Community College-Lawrenceburg, Seitz Insurance Agency and Weas Engineering.

Kevin and Patty Burns; Lischkge Motors, Inc.; Rullman Hunger Funeral Home; and Scott and Tammy Schwing all made monetary donations.

“The golf tournament was totally revised this year.  The changes and enhancements made were very popular and seemed to please everyone involved,” stated Sarah Siegrist, Highpoint Health Director of Charitable Development & Fundraising.  “Many thanks to all of the sponsors, donors and golfers who made it such a success, particularly our main sponsor, Fifth Third Bank.”
