Four Area Basketball Stars Named To Top 100 Senior Girls List

After further research and evaluation, the Top Senior list will be cut to 60 seniors. Those 60 will participate in a special workout in March.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Four girls basketball players from southeastern Indiana have been named among the best in the state.

The Hoosier Basketball Magazine released its Top 100 Senior Girls’ list for the 2019-20 season on Friday.

South Dearborn’s Kyrstin Bond, Lawrenceburg’s Juliana Kemper, Switzerland County’s Aleiah Thomas and East Central’s Brilan McCory made the list.

Kemper, Lawrenceburg’s all-time leading scorer, averaged 15.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.1 steals this season.

Kyrstin Bond averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. Along the way, the Lady Knights star broke Amy March’s 30-year scoring record of 1,059 points.

Aleiah Thomas also had a record-breaking season (1,315 career points) passing Brooke Todd on Switzerland County’s all-time scoring list. The Lady Pacers star averaged 17.1 points, 5.6 rebound and 1.8 assists.

For McCory, she helped the Lady Trojans to a school record 23 wins, a sectional championship and a final eight appearance. She averaged 10.7 points, 4.4 assists 2.8 rebounds per game. McCory also set the school record for three-point makes with 104. 

After further research and evaluation, the Top Senior list will be cut to 60 seniors. Those 60 girls will be invited to the Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s 39th annual Top 60 Senior Girls’ Workout on Sunday, March 8 at Heritage Christian High School.
