A Home Run Derby featuring former Cincinnati Reds greats will open the Florence Freedom season.

(Florence, Ky.) – A Home Run Derby featuring former Cincinnati Reds greats will open the Florence Freedom season.

The Florence Freedom are excited to announce that Pokey Reese, Dmitri Young, and Reggie Sanders will compete in an Opening Night Home Run Derby ahead of the Freedom’s home opener against the Joliet Slammers on Thursday, May 10 at 7:05 p.m.

VIP Meet n’ Greet tickets are available for $115, and include a chance to compete in the home run derby. Three lucky fans will be selected at random for the VIP Meet n’ Greet and will have the opportunity to compete side-by-side with the Reds greats.

Young, Sanders and Reese will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch, sign autographs and take photos on the concourse during the Freedom game.

Freedom Opening Night will also feature $1 Thirsty Thursday domestic beer pricing.
