Former LHS Baseball Star Named To NAIA World Series First-Team

(New Albany, Ind.) – A former Lawrenceburg Tigers baseball star has been recognized for his play at the NAIA World Series.

Indiana University Southeast second baseman Clay Woeste was recently named to the NAIA World Series All-Tournament Team.

Woeste, a junior, led the Grenadiers with a .412 average at the NAIA World Series, driving in five runs in four games, and scoring six times.

The Lawrenceburg native was also a River States Conference First-Team selection. He was first in the conference in total at-bats with 246 and runs scored. Woeste also ranked third in hits (92) and fourth in stolen bases (38).
