Following NFL Try, Mason Parris Training for 2028 Olympics

Parris was a first-time Olympian in 2024.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Mason Parris took a football journey this year, but is now ready to return to the mat.

The Lawrenceburg native and 2024 U.S. Olympian announced this week that he is returning to Cliff Keen Wrestling Club in Michigan to train for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Earlier this year, Parris kicked the tires on playing in the NFL. Part of that journey included participating at Michigan's Pro Day and eventually LA Chargers mini-camp.

"This football journey was exactly what I needed at this time in my life. It was the change of pace I needed that gave me something new to train and strive for. I knew this journey was going to be an uphill battle from the start, but it was a challenge I am glad I pursued," said Parris in a social media post.

Parris continued to say he has rejuvenated his desire to be the best wrestler in the world.

"I am more driven and hungrier than ever to reach my goals," said Parris.
