FC's Mears, JCD's Hughes Named to HBCA Regional All-Star Team

(Southern Indiana) – Three high school basketball standouts from southeast Indiana are among the best senior players in southern Indiana.

The Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association recently announced their 2024 Girls Basketball Regional All-Star Teams.

Making the East Team is Reagan Hughes (Jac-Cen-Del), Nicole Mears (Franklin County), and Carlee Adams (Greensburg). Each are invited to play at the annual All-Star Classic on Sunday, April 7 at Washington High School.

Mears was one of the top scorers and rebounds in the EIAC, averaging 17.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

Hughes was Jac-Cen-Del’s second-leading scorer at 11.9 points per game. She also averaged 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 assists per game.

Adams, Greensburg’s lone senior, averaged 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
