Fake Injury Proposal Goes Viral

Sometimes there are more important things than football.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - You never want to see a student-athlete get injured, unless he's not really injured and a proposal is about to happen.

That's exactly what happened during pre-game warm-ups on Friday night as South Dearborn and East Central were preparing for an EIAC battle.

In the midst of warm-ups, a Knights player faked an injury allowing SD athletic trainer Kyler Hendricks to call for his girlfriend and EC athletic trainer Sammie Cliffe to come over to help.

When she did, Hendricks popped the question to a resounding yes from Cliffe.

They were met by a loud cheer from the Knights players.

Our congratulations go out to both Kyler and Sammie on their engagement.

Eagle Country 99.3's Mike Perleberg was there to capture the footage.
