(St. Leon, Ind.) – An East Central High School wrestling standout has “grappled” with his college decision for long enough.

On Friday, the East Central Athletic Department announced that Trevor Snipes will continue his academic and athletic career at Wabash College.

The 285-pound senior went 34-9 this past season and made it all the way to the semi-state at New Castle. Snipes was defeated in round one by the eventual semi-state champion Jacob Obst, of Indianapolis Cathedral.

Snipes will join the Wabash wrestling program that just went 7-2 this past season and finished 5th overall at the NCAA D-III National Championship Tournament.

Aside from wrestling, Snipes plans to study Physical Therapy at Wabash.
