(St. Leon, Ind.) - East Central High School senior Trevor Perkins had a night to remember on Wednesday.
Competing at Lakota West, Perkins broke the school record in the 200-meter dash with a 21.84. The previous record was 22.24 which was set by two individuals in 1974 and 1985.
Not only did he win the 200-meter dash, Perkins snagging gold in the 110 hurdles (14.03). He was also a part of the first place 4x1 and 4x4 (splitting a 47) relays.
Perkins is an Indiana University commit.
Last season, he finished 9th in the 110-meter hurdles at the IHSAA State Championship. He competed at State as a sophomore as part of East Central's 4x400 team that placed 17th.
Leading up to the State Finals this past season, Perkins was crowned EIAC Champion in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles. He claimed two conference titles as a sophomore in the 110-hurdles and 4x400 relay.
