The Trojans toppled top-ranked Franklin Community on their way to victory.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - The East Central High School wrestling program continued their stellar season with a Team State Championship.
The Trojans competed at the multi-dual IHSWCA Team State 3A event at Franklin Community on January 2.
In the first round, the Trojans dispatched of Northridge 40-27 setting up a matchup with #1 Franklin Community. East Central toppled the #1 team and advanced to the team championship by a final score of 36-31.
The championship match against Floyd Central came down to a final match pin, won by the Trojans. The final score was 33-32.
East Central remains unbeaten this season and has three wrestlers ranked in their respective weight classes. They are Bryer Hall (#1, 170 lbs.), Kole Viel (#7, 220 lbs.), and Blake Wolf (#12, 126 lbs.).
The Trojans next dual comes January 12 at South Dearborn.
