EC Grad Takes Bronze with UC Dance Team at Cheer Nationals

ORLANDO - Mya Cook was a part of an award-winning performance over the weekend at the UCA/UDA College Nationals. 

Cook, a 2021 East Central High School graduate, competed at the prestigious event as a member of the University of Cincinnati dance team. 

The Bearcats took home Bronze in the Division 1 Game Day Division. 

For more than 35 years, the UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship has been the culmination of the season for cheerleaders and dancers across the country.  

It is the most prestigious collegiate national championship in the country and is an opportunity for cheerleading and dance teams to get together and celebrate each other at the Most Magical Place on Earth, the Walt Disney World Resort.
