A familiar face will lead the program starting next spring.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – East Central High School did not have to search far for their new varsity baseball head coach.
The EC Athletic Department announced Thursday the hiring of Michael Johnson as new varsity baseball head coach.
Johnson replaces Bobby Reynolds, who stepped down in June after 22 years as head coach.
Johnson has over 20 years of coaching experience, including over 10 seasons with EC baseball and 15-plus years as a member of the girls basketball coaching staff.
He currently teaches 6th grade science at East Central Middle School.
“My mission is to empower our student-athletes to achieve their highest potential in every facet of their lives and build upon the traditions of East Central Baseball. Through a commitment to excellence, integrity, and teamwork, we will build a culture of continuous improvement and mutual respect. My goal is to instill a love for the game, foster personal growth, and prepare our players for success on and off the diamond,” said Coach Johnson.
