(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Dearborn Community Foundation will hold their 23rd annual Golf Scramble on Monday, August 5 at Hidden Valley Golf Club.
Net proceeds from the golf scramble will go to DCF’s Unrestricted Endowment, which helps the Foundation board of directors and staff address the community’s changing needs over time. Unrestricted Endowment provides grants to programs that feed and shelter people in need, support victims of abuse or violence, impact the environment, build trails and recreational projects, encourage educational (including scholarships) as well as arts and cultural experiences and much more – here in Dearborn County. Good news is the net proceeds will be matched $2-for-$1 thanks to Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) VIII initiative.
“We appreciate the continuing support of our presenting sponsor, CIVISTA Charitable Foundation and, of course, the incredible generosity of the HVL POA and Hidden Valley Golf Club for their longtime support of the Foundation,” McCarter said. “All sponsors and golfers who participate in the event are fine examples of philanthropists in our community.”
Cost is $100 per player or $400 for a foursome. That includes cart and green fees, and food and beverages.
Golfers can also participate in games throughout the course, including a $10,000 hole-in-one prize on No. 17.
Tee off is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on August 5.
The Foundation is seeking Hole Sponsors and Door Prize Sponsors for the golf fundraiser. Anyone wishing to play in the event, purchase a sponsorship or donate a door prize can call the Foundation at 812-539-4115, or email at cwessel@dearborncf.org, fmccarter@dearborncf.org, or dsedler@dearborncf.org.
