Chapman, Nicholson atop Leaderboards After Three SIRC Races

(Aurora, Ind.) – Three races down, three to go.

The Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit continued Saturday at the Knight Flight 5K in Aurora.

Brayden Ryan, 21, of Miamitown, Ohio, crossed the finish line first with a time of 18:05. Ryan held off Batesville’s Jake Chapman by six seconds.

Lawrenceburg native Bradyn Hatton, 15, rounded out the top three with a time of 18:27.

For the second week in a row, Lanie Nicholson, 18, of Versailles, was the top female performer placing sixth overall (19:22).

Rachel Campbell, 18, and Emma Hartley, 17, both of Lawrenceburg placed second and third among the female competitors, finishing 9th and 10th overall, respectively.

After three races, Jake Chapman sits atop the men’s leaderboard with an average time of 18:13. Bradyn Hatton is second at 18:34, followed by Isaac Trossman with an average time of 19:02.  

Lanie Nicholson leads the female competition. Her average time is 19:16.

Emma Hartley and Rachel Campbell round out the top three with average times of 20:47 and 21:29.

This year, the All-SIRC awards will be based on each runner’s best five events.
