(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Mason Parris is an Olympian.

The Lawrenceburg native punched his tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday at the U.S. Wrestling Olympic Team Trials at Penn State University.

Parris received a bye into the championship round of the Men's Freestyle 125 kg bracket due to winning the bronze medal at the World Championships last September.

In the best two out of three championship round, Parris defeated Hayden Zillmer in consecutive matches. Parris won both matches by 7-0 decision.

Parris will represent Team USA in the 125 kg division at the Paris Olympics.

The Lawrenceburg native has won a major championship at every level he has competed at including three high school state championships, and an NCAA National Championship.

Could a gold medal be next?
