(Batesville, Ind.) – A Batesville Lady Bulldogs basketball star is set to play collegiate basketball at the Division I level.
On Sunday, Hattie Westerfeld announced via Twitter that she has verbally committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Indiana State University.

The 6’3” center still has her senior year to play at Batesville. As a junior, Westerfeld averaged 10.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
Westerfeld is one of four seniors that will lead the Lady Bulldogs in 2018. Last season, Batesville finished 13-12 and made it to the sectional final.
