Aurora Elementary 4th Grader Wins K of C State Free Throw Competition

(Aurora, Ind.) – A local free throw sharpshooter has been crowned a state champion.

Aurora Elementary School 4th grader Landon Detmer won his age group at the Knights of Columbus Free Thrown State Finals on Sunday.

The final round took place at Guerin High School in Noblesville.

Detmer knocked down 23-of-25 attempts to win the state championship.

He got his start in the tournament competing at the local level at St. Lawrence School in Lawrenceburg.
