Area Cross Country Stars Earn Academic All-State Honors

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Nine southeastern Indiana cross country stars have been recognized for making good grades in the classroom. 

The Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (IATCCC) announced their Academic All-State teams last week. 

East Central's Michael Schwebach was named to the IATCCC Boys Cross Country Academic All-State First Team. Four of his teammates made honorable mention: Ethan Campbell, Reilly Small, James Stenger, and Griffin Werner. 

On the girls side, South Dearborn's Rachel Rohe and South Ripley's Ava Ralston earned Academic All-State First Team honors. 

Franklin County's Katherine Apsley and South Dearborn's Emily Rector were honorable mention.
