The YES Home is one of 168 youth-serving organizations awarded SYPI grants totaling more than $40 million.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) has awarded Youth Encouragement Services, Inc. (YES Home) a grant totaling $440,550. The funding will help the YES Home strengthen programs serving young people in southeastern Indiana and build the organizational capacity needed to deepen its impact over the next several years.
IYI made the grants in connection with Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana (SYPI), an initiative Lilly Endowment Inc. launched in 2023. The initiative seeks to help youth-serving organizations working throughout the state improve their abilities to promote the academic, physical, and social well-being of young people, ages five through 18.
With this support, the YES Home will support a comprehensive sustainability and capacity building plan designed to strengthen the YES Home’s ability to provide high quality, trauma responsive care while ensuring long-term organizational stability. The work is expected to help enhance staff development, expand leadership capacity, and increase family support services.
“We are grateful for this investment in the YES Home and in the young people we serve,” said Amy Phillips, Executive Director of the YES Home. “This grant will allow us to strengthen the systems, programs, and partnerships that help youth thrive. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue to expand the work we do at the YES Home and throughout our community.”
The YES Home plans to offer community wide training opportunities in partnership with Finding Hope Consulting’s Trauma Responsive Care and Applications of Resiliency Trainings. The YES Home also plans to bring a Training of Trainers for Ukeru Systems, a national crisis intervention program that uses trauma informed care without restraint or seclusion.
The YES Home is one of 168 youth-serving organizations awarded SYPI grants totaling more than $40 million. A full list of grant recipients is available here.
