Woman Hurt In Rollover Wreck

The Sunday evening crash was caused by a vehicle stopped in the roadway, deputies say.

(Franklin County, Ind.) - A Laurel woman was hurt in a Sunday night, July 28 crash in Franklin County.

It was around 9:18 p.m. when deputies say 21-year-old Tia M. Biggs swerved to avoid another vehicle stopped in the roadway as she crested a hill on Laurel Road near Wagner Road. Biggs’ 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt went off the road into a ditch and rolled over.

Laurel EMS took Biggs to Reid Hospital in Connersville to be treated for minor injuries.

The other vehicle that was reportedly stopped in the roadway was gone before first responders arrived at the scene.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Laurel Police Department, Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Laurel E.M.S. #3, and Responder 24.
