Woman Charged With Reckless Homicide For Deadly US 421 Crash

The crash happened on June 24.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - A Washington County woman has been arrested for Reckless Homicide in Ripley County. 

On June 24, Henry Finney, 21, of Madison, was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. 421 in Ripley County. 

Indiana State Police determined that the crash was caused by Shannon Hubbard, of Pekin, Indiana.

Police say Hubbard was traveling approximately 79 miles per hour while trying to pass a vehicle when she collided with Finney’s vehicle. Police also said Hubbard had THC in her system at the time of the crash.

Hubbard is charged with felony Reckless Homicide and is in jail in Washington County, pending extradition back to Ripley County Jail.
