Winter Weather Advisory, Flood Warning Issued

Total snow accumulations are expected in the 2-3 inch range today.

(Wilmington, Oh.) - Thunderstorms on Saturday night, snow on Sunday. 

Due to the recent string of weather, portions of the tri-state are under a Flood Warning and Winter Weather Advisory. 

A Flood Warning is in effect for the following counties:

  • Indiana: Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland
  • Kentucky: Boone, Gallatin, Kenton
  • Ohio: Hamilton

According to Hamilton County Emergency Management, the Great Miami River at Miamitown was at 13.7 feet as of early Sunday morning. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (16.0 feet) early Monday morning and fall below flood stage Monday evening. 

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire tri-state area until 7:00 p.m. Sunday. 

According to the National Weather Service, total snow accumulations of two to three inches are forecast. Winds will gust as high as 40 miles per hour. 

Snow will transition over to scattered snow showers this afternoon, which will continue into the evening hours.
