Wind Advisory In Effect Monday

Gusts will blow at up to 40 MPH.

(Versailles, Ind.) - Gusty winds are expected to plow through parts of the tri-state Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory through 3:00 p.m. Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 40 MPH.

A few hundred homes and businesses are without power Monday morning. Southeastern Indiana REMC and Duke Energy are reporting most of the outages in the Versailles, Osgood, and Brookville areas.

Forecasters say the winds are on the edge of a cold front that has caused blizzard conditions in some parts of the Midwest and will bring a chance of snow to our area. Monday’s high will reach near 38.

Temperatures in the middle of this week will be decidedly cooler than this past weekend when temps peaked in the 50s. Tuesday’s high will only reach about 30, followed by 34 on Wednesday.
