It was a busy end to the weekend for firefighters in southwest Ohio.

(Whitewater Township, Oh.) – The last 24 hours have been busy for firefighters in southwest Ohio.
Whitewater Township Fire was dispatched to a home on Harrison Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters reported light smoke showing from the residence. It was determined a fire had started in the attic space, but a quick attack kept the fire from extending further into the home.
No injuries have been reported.
Assisting at the Harrison Avenue fire were departments from Harrison, Green Township and Crosby Township.
Whitewater Township Fire also battled a fire early Sunday morning on the 11000 block of Stephens Road in Elizabethtown.
When crews arrived at the scene around 5:08 a.m., they encountered a stand along garage fully engulfed in flames and that a person was possibly inside the structure.
Hamilton County Fire Investigation Unit and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Detectives were called to the scene and the person thought to be in the garage was found safe at another location.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were firefighters from Miami Township, Harrison and Lawrenceburg.
