By Mike Perleberg (Switzerland County, Ind.) - Is Switzerland County really the worst county to call home in all of Indiana? That’s what a new report from 24/7 Wall Street claims. The financial news and opinion website has published a list of the worst county to live in in each U.S. state. “Better-educated populations are more likely to report high incomes and live longer, healthier lives. In Switzerland County, situated along the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Louisville, Kentucky, only 8.3% of the population has a bachelor’s degree. That is the lowest share for any county in Indiana,” the website states. The report says Switzerland County’s poverty rate is 21 percent. Life expectancy at birth there is 76.5 years, more than a year lower than the state average. In Ohio, Adams County was rated the worst state to live in. Kentucky’s worst was deemed to be McCreary County. Eagle Country 99.3 can think of a few things which make Switzerland County a great place to live:
