Weber Family Pumpkin Festival Cancels 2020 Festivities

"This is a sad day, but in consideration of the continuing uncertainty that this global health crisis has caused, the festival as we all know it will not take place this year."

(Harrison, Oh.) - The Weber Family Pumpkin Festival is one of the most popular fall festivals in Eagle Country; however, organizers have decided that the annual event cannot be held for the 2020 year.

Today a Facebook post was sent out to the community. The post reads:

"This is a sad day, but in consideration of the continuing uncertainty that this global health crisis has caused, the festival as we all know it will not take place this year. An immense amount of preparation is necessary to produce this event, and at this time we are not convinced with absolute certainty that a safe environment can be created while maintaining the features and attractions that make the Pumpkin Festival what it is. As we've all heard so often these past few months, the safety and well-being of all those involved must remain our main focus and top priority. This was a difficult decision and we understand that it will not be popular, but it was made with the best intentions in mind."

The community is asked to visit the Weber Family Pumpkin Festival website for more information in the upcoming weeks on how to support the vendors and organizations that participate each year.

While the 2020 Weber Family Pumpkin Festival will not happen, organizers have every intention of coming together to celebrate in 2021.
