(Ripley County, Ind.) - Ripley County Sheriff's deputies received a call on Saturday, December 20 regarding a male with multiple outstanding felony warrants.
Kenneth Powers III was taken into custody at a residence in the town limits of Sunman.
When deputies arrived at the home, there was no answer from anyone inside. While deputies were attempting to serve the outstanding warrants, they started to develop probable cause for a search warrant, which was granted by Honorable Judge Jeffery Sharp.
At approximately 11:04 p.m., deputies with the Sheriff's Office, along with the Sunman Town Marshal and an Indiana State Trooper, served the search warrant.
Powers III and all other occupants of the home were quickly and safely detained. According to a press release, deputies allegedly located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia inside the home.
Powers III is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor), Decatur County Warrant (Level 6 Felony), and Parole Warrant from Department of Corrections.
