Vevay Driver Injured When Dump Truck Strikes Pickup

The crash happened Tuesday near Madison.

(Vevay, Ind.) - A Vevay man was injured in a crash in North Madison.

Ryan Stewart, 46, was driving on State Road 7 at around 2:40 Tuesday afternoon when a dump truck rolled into his path and collided with his pickup truck.

Stewart had to be extricated from the wreckage before he could be flown to a Louisville hospital. His current condition is not known.

The dump truck driver, James Smith, 43, of Milton, Kentucky, is believed to have lost control when he stopped suddenly for vehicles in front of him. He was taken to KDH with minor injuries.
