The incident took place on Sunday evening at an apartment complex in Versailles.

(Versailles, Ind.) – A resident at the Tyson School Apartments found themselves in a less than ideal situation on Sunday evening.
Versailles Fire Rescue responded to the apartments for a report of a person trapped in the elevator.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a male trapped between the second and third floors.
Responders were able to access the passenger car of the elevator and safely extricate the occupant.
They remained on scene until the elevator repair company arrived.
