(Versailles, Ind.) – Versailles Fire Rescue responded to a report of multiple brush fires on Friday.
Five separate fires broke out along State Road 129, south of Versailles up to main street in Versailles.
According to Versailles Fire Rescue, the cause of the fires was the result of a vehicle pulling a trailer with tire problems that spread hot materials along the roadway.
Versailles PD, Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, South Ripley Resource Officer and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.
