Versailles Fire Chief Celebrated For 40 Years Of Service

(Versailles, Ind.) – The Versailles Fire Chief is being celebrated for his many years as a public servant.

Ben Sieverding marks 40 years in the fire service this fall.

Sieverding has served with the Versailles Fire Department for the last 19 years, including 10-plus years as Fire Chief.

Prior to moving to Versailles, Sieverding served 21 years with the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department. He got his start there in the fall of 1980.

Aside from fighting fires, Sieverding serves on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association, is the President of the Ripley County Fire Chiefs Association, and serves as IVFA District 19 Chairman, District 9 Training Coordinator through IDHS and is a member of the Indiana Fire Instructors Association.
