UPDATE: US 50 Overnight Repaving, Lane Closures July 8-15

The Indiana Department of Transportation has issued updated information on the repaving project which will continue in July in Lawrenceburg an Greendale.

Dave O'Mara Contractor Inc. crews will focus work next week on U.S. 50 beginning at Hollywood Casino and moving east toward I-275. Night time lane closures are scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. throughout the week beginning Monday, July 8. Lanes will reopen by 6:00 a.m. the following mornings.

INDOT says the roadwork is expected to continue through the weekend July 13 and 14, with lane closures in effect from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12 and during the following days through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15.

Crews will alternate directions until paving is complete in mid-August. The week night work schedule of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. will remain in effect, with continuous work taking place from 7:00 p.m. Friday to 6:00 a.m. Monday on weekends. The overall project is expected to be complete, including new pavement markings, reflectors and signal work, by late October.

If you plan on traveling U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg and Greendale during the lane closures, you should probably expect delays.

The work will happen on this schedule if the weather permits, INDOT says.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Paving crews will return to U.S. 50 next week for overnight work in Greendale and Lawrenceburg.

Construction crews largely completed the repaving of U.S. 50 from the state line to I-275 in Greendale this week, but the repaving of other stretches of the highway is not expected to wrap-up until mid-August. The overall project – including new pavement markings, reflectors, and signal work – won’t be completed until late October.

The Indiana Department of Transportation said Wednesday that Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. will resume the paving project between Interstate 275 and Hollywood Casino next week.

Night time lane closures will return Monday, July 8 and continuing through Monday, July 15. The closures will be from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. throughout the week, according to INDOT. The lane closures will be in effect continuously from 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 12 until 6:00 a.m. Monday, July 15.

Motorists should expect delays along the route due to lane closures and are urged to use caution in and near work zones. All work is weather dependent.
