(Aurora, Ind.) - Since May 18, many living in Eagle Country have been taking back roads to maneuver their way to State Road 350, causing headaches and longer commute times. However, those days are almost up.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that the State Road 350 bridge deck overlay project is on schedule and at the tail end.
INDOT gave an update on the rehab project on their Facebook page:
"Crews recently completed multiple concrete pours and are preparing to apply the final deck overlay. Once applied, the bridge deck will need to cure for at least four days. After the curing process, pavement markings and approach paving will be completed."
The bridge is expected to open the first week of August.
