The pipe replacement project along State Road 229 in Batesville is being pushed back.
Paul H. Rohe Company says State Road 229 will close between Boehringer Street and Shrader Street in downtown Batesville on or after Monday, July 11.
The project was previously slated to start on or after June 27.
State Road 229 is expected to remain closed for approximately five days while work is completed.

(Batesville, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Company plans to close S.R. 229 between Boehringer Street and Shrader Street in downtown Batesville on or after Monday, June 27, to complete a sewer pipe replacement project.
The road is expected to remain closed through Friday, July 1. The official detour will follow West Pearl Street, Mulberry Street, and Mitchell Avenue to S.R. 46. Semi traffic should avoid this detour and use an alternate route.
This work is part of a $1.5 million contract that includes patching, milling and paving S.R. 229, south of S.R. 46 in Batesville. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and stay vigilant of workers and equipment.
