UPDATE: One in Custody, One At-Large After Robbery in NKY

Two female victims were ambushed on Sunday at two locations along North Bend Road.

Update published January 15 at 1:40 p.m.:

One person has been taken into custody in connection to a robbery on Sunday in Hebron.

A 17-year-old from Forest Park, Ohio, was identified by his parents. Upon speaking with detectives, his parents agreed to safely turn him in to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

The juvenile is charged with Attempted Robbery 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor. He is lodged at the Campbell Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

The second suspect, who is seen above wearing a blue mask, remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

Additionally, the stolen vehicle was located near the juvenile offender’s home in Forest Park. The Forest Park Police Department assisted detectives with subsequent follow up investigations at the juvenile offender’s home as well as impounding the vehicle to their secured lot.

(Hebron, Ky.) – The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two robbery suspects.

On Sunday, deputies learned that a failed robbery attempt occurred just prior to two black males suspects ambushed a female victim in the parking lot of Pizza Hut.

One suspect allegedly brandished a handgun as they both demanded her car keys. The victim stated the keys were in the vehicle, however, the suspects could not locate them and fled on foot.

Minutes later, the same suspects allegedly ambushed another female in the parking lot of Hebron Grille, again brandishing a handgun and demanding her keys.

The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in her vehicle. Neither of the two victims were injured.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2017 Kia Sportage, black in color, with Kentucky Registration: 509WCM and a thin blue line sticker displayed on the rear bumper. Deputies confirmed that the suspects traveled north on KY-237 in the direction of River Road.

The suspect who brandished the handgun is described as a thin black male, average height, wearing tan boots, black pants, off white hooded sweatshirt with a maroon hat with white lettering as well as white gloves and a blue mask.

The second suspect is described as a heavyset black male, average height, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, a black vest, black gloves, and black/white Nike tennis shoes.

Please dial 911 immediately if you locate the vehicle and/or the suspects. The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
