UPDATE: The Golden-D Alert is cancelled. The Florence Police Department located Matthew Geohegan Tuesday evening in good health on Dixie Highway. His family was notified, and he returned home.

(Florence, Ky.) – Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking information about a missing Florence man.

Matthew Geohegan, 26, was reported missing on Wednesday and entered into the NCIC as a Golden-D Alert.

His family told deputies that he left their home on June 19 and said he would be back the next day but did not return.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Geohegan left the home on foot without his prescribed medication and does not possess a cell phone.

His family fears he may become dehydrated because he does not typically drink water.

Geohegan is described as 5’9”, 130 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing dark grey sweatpants, a maroon or brown t-shirt and black Adidas tennis shoes.

Geohegan reportedly walked from his Florence home to Dixie Highway and tends to frequent the Covington area.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
