UPDATE: Battle Of Bluegrass Tractor Pull Championships Cancelled Due To Weather

By Travis Thayer Update published October 1 at 2:33 p.m.: The nationally renowned Howes Lube/Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series Championship Pull scheduled for October 2-3 in Osgood has been cancelled due to weather. This is the second time this year an event in Osgood has been cancelled due to weather. This past June, the F.A.R.M. Club Antique Tractor Show was rained out. No reschedule date has been announced for the Championship Pull.   Original story published September 22 at 1:41 p.m.: (Osgood, Ind.) – For the first time ever, the nationally renowned Howes Lube/Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series will be hosting its Championship Pull in the state of Indiana. The Battle of the Bluegrass National Truck and Tractor Pull Championships will be held on October 2-3 at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood. The pull will feature every class the Howes Lube/BOB Series offers, and all classes will declare champions based upon a points system. Pullers from 10 states or more are expected to be in attendance, and the event should draw well over 200 pulling teams, making the event one of the largest in the nation. The two-day event will have two sessions each day, beginning with an Antique Tractor Pull at 2:00 p.m. The second session will begin at 7:00 p.m. each day and will feature every BOB Series class including the Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Work Stock Diesel Trucks (2.5), Pro Street Diesel Trucks (2.6), Hot Farm Tractors, Outlaw Super Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, Super Stock 2WD Trucks, Super Stock 4WD Trucks, Pro Street Semis, Pro Farm Tractors and Farm Stock Tractors. Fans will also be treated to the Steiner Tractor Parts, Baddest Antique in the World invitational. The event will feature the top ten antique tractors in the world, all which were built before 1959.
