(Vevay, Ind.) - Three people are in jail after the deaths of two men at a home near Vevay on May 20. Switzerland County Sheriff Nathan Hughes said in a news release Tuesday that the sheriff’s office received a 911 call on Saturday, May 20 about two unresponsive males not breathing in a resident on E. State Road 56. Units arriving at the home found the two men and began to administer CPR, however, those life-saving efforts were unsuccessful. The county coroner was notified of the two deaths. The deceased men are identified as Larry C. Tingle, 52, and Jerry A. Lewis, 22. Both men are from Vevay. The causes of their deaths were not released Tuesday by the sheriff’s office. Investigators obtained information that led to the execution of a search warrant at a home on E. State Road 56 in Vevay. Three people residing there were arrested on multiple charges and are behind bars at the Switzerland County Jail. Shane Hopkins, 29, of Vevay, is held on a $10,000 bond as he faces charges of Possession of a Narcotic Drug (level 6 felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony), and Possession of Paraphernalia (class A misdemeanor). George Harlow, Jr., 60, of Vevay, faces charges of Possession of a Narcotic Drug (level 6 felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony), and Possession of Paraphernalia (class A misdemeanor). His bond has been set at $5,000. Buster Harlow, 39, of Vevay, is charged with Possession of Paraphernalia (class A misdemeanor) and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony). He is held in jail on a $1,000 bond. The sheriff’s office news release did not state what role, if any, Hopkins and the Harlows may have played in the deaths of Tingle and Lewis. Indiana State Police were assisting the sheriff's office in the investigation.
