(Aurora, Ind.) - It is the giving season.

On Monday, the Friendship State Bank awarded two Elevate Small Business Grants through Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis.

The $10,000 grants went to Hankering Southern Kitchen in Aurora and Madison Auto.

Hankering Southern Kitchen will use the funding for kitchen updates, while Madison Auto will purchase a new lift in the service area.

According to the Friendship State Bank, the selection process was community-driven and fair, with each of their nine branch managers nominating two businesses. The recipients were chosen through a blind draw.
