Two Fatal Crashes In Boone County

(Burlington, Ky.) - It was a deadly weekend on the roads in Boone County as two people died in two separate accidents.

 

The first crash occurred Saturday about 10:50 p.m. on Kentucky 18 in Burlington.

 

Jennifer Valdez, of Burlington, was turning left from Kentucky 18 to Limaburg Road when her car was hit by Andrew Sebree, 19, of Florence, as he ran a red light.

 

Angela Horne, 42, of Florence, a passenger in Valdez’ vehicle, died at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence from severe trauma. Four other people involved in the crash were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

 

There was a second fatal accident for Boone Count emergency responders, this one on Dixie Highway  at about 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

 

 Two passenger cars collided head-on near the intersection with White Pine Circle just outside of Florence. Sherry Mills, 60, of Covington, who was riding in one of the cars died at the scene.

 

The two drivers were taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence for non-life threatening injuries.

 

Both accidents remain under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
