(Hebron, Ky.) - Part of Interstate 275 in Boone County was made into an oily mess Tuesday evening.
A semi tanker hauling soybean oil began to leak at about 4:30, dumping 200 gallons of the slippery substance across nearly 3,000 feet of I-275 westbound near the Hebron exit.
The interstate had to be closed several hours while a private contractor worked to clean the mess. Exit 8B to North Bend Road was also closed.
I-275 was reopened early Wednesday morning.
