Trooper Mark Naylor was recognized as the 2025 Trooper of District for the Versailles Post. This award is given annually to a trooper in each district that personifies integrity, professionalism, and a well-rounded work ethic. Trp. In 2025, Trp. Naylor made 182 criminal arrests and made 25 arrests for operating while intoxicated. During the year, he additionally made nearly 800 traffic stops and investigated 12 crashes. Trp. Naylor additionally served as a Field Training Officer, training rookie troopers. He excelled in working criminal investigations and was an asset in assisting other troopers and officers from other agencies in his patrol area.

Trp. Naylor is a two-year veteran of the Indiana State Police. He is a 2008 graduate of Jennings County High School, North Vernon, Indiana.  After high school, he attended Indiana University where he graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
