An eastbound single lane closure is continuing.

UPDATE: The barrier wall has come down and all westbound lanes have reopened on the I-275 Carroll Cropper Bridge. An eastbound single lane closure will remain in place as crews continue working on a separate zone painting project.
(Petersburg, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming traffic switch on Interstate 275 westbound near the Carroll Cropper Bridge on Tuesday, December 23.
Beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, motorists should expect a series of rolling roadblocks on I-275 westbound beginning near the Petersburg Exit (Idlewild Bypass/KY 3608) (11.38 mile point).
Traffic will be temporarily slowed in several locations to allow crews to move barrier wall ahead of the traffic switch. Motorists will shift to the right lane while crossing the span of the bridge. This will allow our crews a safe area to complete striping on the westbound lanes.
This traffic switch is expected to be completed shortly after midnight on Wednesday, December 24. Once the striping is completed, crews will remove the barrier wall and reopen all westbound lanes in the project area. Once all lanes are open, the bridge repair project will be completed.
An eastbound single lane closure will remain in place as crews continue working on a separate zone painting project.
For more information about both projects – be sure to check out the project webpage here.
